Governors There are three governors' committees, which between them cover all aspects of school life. They meet termly, or twice-termly, during the evening, and provide opportunities for governors, parents, and teachers to discuss in depth all matters of school policy. Each of the three committees - Curriculum, Community, and Finance - is chaired by a governor, and includes two co-opted teachers, and two co-opted parents. The Chairman of Governors and the Headteacher are ex-officio members of all three committees. The committees report back to the full governing body. The governors have found that working with parents and school staff in this way produces not only better decisions, but also a better understanding of how they can help and support the school. |
